I've had a Dell Inspiron for a puny over a year, and it's been a constant jam. Multiple home visits to replace parts, technicians that have arrive to fix the machine and demolish up breaking it; calls to Indian customer service that route me to non-working telephone numbers; any requests to talk to a manager result in being cut-off. The machine has been down for probably a month in the past 12 months. An incredibly unpleasant level of back and hardware.
The I1470 is a top performing Win7 optimized thin and lite business package. Packed with DDR3 4gigs of ram and an ultra extreme voltage CPU for outstanding battery life. The laptop is not an ultra lite but it is a grand lite weight package that does it all with few frills and all the hard working ports and output requirements. Titanic battery life and enough processing power to do most anything required (but not gaming) this is a hard hitting grievous cost package with Dell quality and reliability. The omission of wireless N is the biggest mistake here (what were you thinking Dell? ) .
